February 2026 Tutor and Student of the Month
February Tutor of the Month: Lori Rothlisberger
Briceida came to the USA in 2025 and was matched with Lori, her tutor, in December and they’ve been having fun with English classes ever since when meeting in Coleman. Briceida is employed on a local dairy farm and enjoys the work. She is working hard on her English Language skills and hopes to be more fluent in English someday. Incidentally, Briceida’s sister also is a student of our council. And, because of Briceida’s hard work in trying to learn English, she has been chosen as February’s Student of the Month.
February Student of the Month: Briceida
Lori is not only a retired professional elementary teacher but also a previous tutor for Literacy Green Bay. She brings all those skills to her current role as tutor for teaching Bricieda. Lori has another helpful talent: the ability to communicate in Spanish since she has experience with teaching ELL classes. We are so blessed to have her as a tutor and as a resource. She brings with her knowledge of websites she can access that she can print worksheets from. And, Briceida likes to have homework so that works out well for both. Since they’ve been working together for about 6 weeks, Lori can see what advances Bricieda is making and what she has difficulty with and needs reinforcement on.
Because of Lori’s great assistance to Briceida and Lori’s knowledge in making learning fun, Lori has been awarded February’s Tutor of the month.
